Italian is widely considered the world’s most popular cuisine. It is also one of the most diverse cuisines in the world, as each of Italy’s twenty regions has its own regional cuisine, based on local customs and ingredients. What all these regional cuisines have in common, however, is their focus on ingredients, and keeping things simple. Italian food is unpretentious, satisfying, and absolutely must begin with high-quality ingredients.
