Molise

Molise is a very small region bordering Abruzzo to the norhtwest, Campania to the southwest, and Puglia to the southeast. Although Molise and Abruzzo were one region until a political separation in 1970, the cuisine of Molise is more similar to those of Campania and Puglia.

Regional specialties of Molise include caciocavallo cheese, salumi, and dried pasta.
